Bonnie Boswell


Bonnie is an award-winning reporter, documentary film producer and talk show host. She is the executive producer/reporter of Bonnie Boswell Reports, airing on PBS So Cal during PBS News Hour Weekend. She is also the executive producer of THE POWERBROKER: Whitney Young’s Fight for Civil Rights, airing on PBS’ Independent Lens. Bonnie is a graduate of Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and holds a master’s degree in city planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Bonnie began her career as an editorial broadcaster for NBC New York. She also produced a weekly newsmagazine program for NBC New York and then joined ABC’s newsmagazine, 20/20, as an associate producer. Bonnie’s articles have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Essence and the Radcliffe Quarterly. She has been a TedX Talks speaker, a guest on NBC’s Today show, CNN's Talkback and the CBS radio network. She is a past executive board member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and serves on the board of directors of the education organization Facing History and Ourselves.
