Jessica supports the work of several intermediary programs focusing on relationship building, knowledge sharing, and community capacity strengthening. Her work at Community Partners is informed by a decade of experience in research, teaching, and nonprofit consulting. Before joining Community Partners, Jessica worked at The Sports Creative, an organization that designs sport for development programs for unhoused and at-risk youth, and was a Lecturer at the University of Chicago’s Crown Family School of Social Work. She is a sociologist by training and has spent the last 10 years critically interrogating issues of social inequity and their impact on youth in urban space. Jessica received a BA in Sociology and Politics from Pomona College and an MA and PhD in Sociology from the University of Chicago. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing sports, hiking, and spending time with her family.
