Water Education for Latino Leaders (WELL)

Water Education for Latino Leaders educates Latino elected officials on California’s water policies. They accomplish this through three main activities: an annual two-day conference for local and statewide elected officials and commissioners to learn about and discuss water issues in California; a six-month fellowship that educates participants on California’s water history, governance, public policy, hydrology, and economics in a human rights and climate change context; and regional workshops that educate local elected leaders on water issues affecting their communities.
