An Issue of Concern to All Nonprofits

Community Partners has signed on, with CalNonprofits and 20,000 other nonprofit organizations and individuals, to a petition opposing the proposed sale of the .ORG domain registry to a private equity firm. Critics in the nonprofit sector feel strongly that this could impact the millions of individuals and organizations that operate a .ORG website, subjecting them to potential censorship and the possibility of price increases on domain registration and renewals. Even Congress is looking into the issue.
