STEAM:CODERS Founder Honored

Raymond Ealy, founder of STEAM:CODERS, was honored by the Pasadena City Commission with the Dr. Raymond Pitts Human Relations Award. Since its beginnings in Pasadena in 2014, the science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) program has served over 2,400 disadvantaged K-12 students of color and has expanded its reach to students in Los Angeles, Altadena, Inglewood, Long Beach, Claremont and Pomona school districts.

“Raymond Ealy has done so much for education through his organization to improve education, especially for minorities, said Nat Nehdar, Human Relations Commissioner for the City of Pasadena. “The list goes on for what this man has done.”
