Community Partners is currently working with the County of Los Angeles as it seeks community input regarding a proposal to create a more integrated health system for residents of the region. Our staff facilitated five meetings across the county in April and May designed to elicit public feedback and will deliver a report to the County Board of Supervisors on our findings by late June.
Dr. Christina Ghaly, the Director of Health Care Integration for the County of Los Angeles Chief Executive Office (pictured above), was on hand to offer insights regarding the proposed creation of the umbrella health agency that would integrate three Los Angeles County health departments – health services, public health, and mental health. Visit http://priorities.lacounty.gov/health/ for next steps in the process, and to learn more.
