In the under-resourced communities of South Los Angeles and others that fall into the 2nd Supervisorial District, 83 nonprofit organizations have participated in four cohorts of this capacity building program, designed to strengthen their ability to better serve their communities. Community Partners staff along with a cadre of local experts lead intensive learning sessions for eight weeks around such key issues as fundraising, board effectiveness, civic engagement and financial accountability. Participants are connected to a network of local experts and receive one-on-one executive coaching. They have also found ways to collaborate with each other and provide co-programming to their clients/stakeholders.
