Cross Cultural Collective for Mental Health Professionals

  • Project Lead: Shalena Heard

By utilizing a range of approaches, we aim to enhance cultural competence in the delivery of mental health services to diverse groups. Our strategy to enhance competency involves targeting provider traits that are modifiable, such as reducing biases and improving clinical skills and knowledge, regardless of unchangeable characteristics like race and gender. To achieve this, we plan to carry out various activities, which include offering multicultural trainings and workshops, establishing an online resource hub, and providing peer consultation groups for professionals.
