Impossible Market

Impossible Market aims to provide free and highly-subsidized food and groceries to people severely impacted by COVID-19. An estimated 55 million Americans rely on free food and groceries from SNAP and EBT benefits, food banks, and other nonprofits. The project’s vision is to create a neighborhood “For Benefit Market” that optimizes access to food banks, low-cost groceries, and economies of scale to help deliver food to those in need with maximum efficiency, choice, and value.

CM Documentary

  • Project Lead: Julian Krainen

CM Documentary will develop a documentary about the lives of the academically gifted young people who gain admission and financial aid to top colleges through their involvement with College Match, one of CP’s successful, longstanding projects. In addition to developing a documentary, the College Match Outreach Project will provide speakers and advice to organizations in other cities that wish to replicate the College Match model.

Ba Vi Medical Program – Helping Hands Vietnam

The mission of Ba Vi Medical Program is to raise funds to help improve the medical care of the children at Ba Vi Orphanage in Vietnam. The orphanage in Ba Vi is home to some 200 children, from infants to teens, most of whom have serious mental and/or physical disabilities. Funds go towards expenditures that will improve the mental, physical and nutritional health of the children.

The 10th Street Scholarship Fund runs annual drives that provides $25,000-80,000 in preschool scholarships each year to low-income kids and children with disabilities attending the 10th Street Preschool. The Fund has provided scholarships enabling hundreds of children to attend the preschool since its inception in 1992.
