Post-Election 2024 Statement: Our Values Call Us to Action

With the November election results, our country finds itself at another critical inflection point. It is a time of change and uncertainty, but also of resolve.

I’ve heard from our partners about their needs and offered a safe space for reflection and planning. Even amidst the emerging chaos and the threat of yet more assaults on our communities, I was heartened to hear in these conversations the sense of determination and clarity of purpose regarding our roles—and responsibility—as changemakers in the social impact field.

From my seat at the helm of Community Partners – an organization committed to fueling the creative solutions that advance more equitable, thriving, and inclusive communities – here is what I know to be true in this moment:

Community Partners remains unwavering in our commitment to put our values into action and will continue to stand alongside our partners.

In the weeks and months ahead, solutions born out of community-based leadership and driven by principles of equity and justice will be needed to protect and advance our communities.

We will use the full weight of our power as a fiscal sponsor to support the leaders and initiatives who advance the rights and well-being of Black, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, immigrant, and other communities most impacted by injustice and inequality.

We will leverage our experience and role as an intermediary to facilitate stronger collaboration across sectors and help shape new approaches that increase access, equity, and impact.

We will use our voice to advocate where we know more equitable systems and processes are needed to meet the needs of our communities.

We will lean into the strength and promise of what we can achieve together, centering community, relationships, and partnership in all we do.
