Read our Reports for the Office of Cannabis Management

We’re excited to share that two reports we developed based on our work this summer for The LA County Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) are now available on its website, along with the proposed policies that will be presented to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for approval in early 2018.

OCM enlisted Community Partners help to host 20 community listening sessions/workshops from July to August 2017. Hundreds of community members and stakeholders convened at workshop locations throughout Los Angeles County to provide their feedback and concerns about cannabis regulation in unincorporated County areas. The first report now available on the OCM website summarizes the public’s feedback from each one of the listening sessions.

The second report provides a series of recommendations from the Los Angeles County Advisory Working Group on Cannabis Regulation. This group of experts and community stakeholders convened from June to August 2017 to craft policy recommendations to guide the development of cannabis regulations for unincorporated areas of LA County.

Feedback provided by the public at community listening sessions and recommendations offered by the Advisory Working Group will inform the development of cannabis regulations in unincorporated County areas. The Office of Cannabis Management is currently working with numerous County departments to prepare these regulations. In the meantime, check out the two new reports, here.
