After sadly being waylaid by fires last year, an ambitious open streets event spearheaded by BikeSGV is set for Sunday, March 5.
Coinciding with the one-year anniversary of the Foothill Gold Line Extension, the 626 Golden Streets event will open 17+ miles of roads to cyclists, walkers, skaters and more between South Pasadena and Azusa. Modeled after thousands of ciclovia and open streets events around the world, the San Gabriel Valley’s 626 Golden Streets involved two years of planning and working with six adjoining cities, vendors, sponsors and community supporters to create what just might be the longest stretch of open streets yet.
Walk, bike, skate, dance and play on Sunday, March 5 from 9am-3pm.
