The Green Together Collaborative is a partnership between several organizations and government agencies with funded projects in Pacoima-Sun Valley, including Community Partners, Pacoima Beautiful, Grid Alternatives Greater Los Angeles, Los Angeles Business Council, The Trust for Public Land, LA DOT, LA Conservation Corp, and the UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation. The Collaborative’s vision is to help build a community that is safe, green, socially inclusive and resilient to climate change.
Funded by the Strategic Growth Council, the collaborative aims to empower communities in Pacoima and Sun Valley, an area long subjected to concerning levels of pollution, to choose their own goals, strategies and projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and local air pollution. This groundbreaking, inclusive effort acknowledges the environmental injustices faced by low-income and marginalized communities in Northeast Los Angeles. It will engage Pacoima-Sun Valley residents in opportunities for employment and job training along with an anti-displacement plan.
